Why don't we play at the CABARET?!

Another side of an artist mostly known for solo guitar and voice:
a jazz tune recorded in the studio with a full band.

Why don't we play at the CABARET?! cover

LYRICS

An imitation is fine by me —
it only really starts once you’ve been fooled.

Don't be cool
Try be fool
Just whatever

What matters is the spirit you bring.

TWO VERSIONS

The up-tempo, mischievous Brian version and the mid-tempo, glamorous Basie version — one song in two faces, on a single EP. The music video uses the Brian version.

BEHIND

Recorded at Alchemy Studio in Osaka, with a great deal of help from everyone involved — the musicians, and Mr. Kitahata and Mr. Fukuoka at the studio.

The video was shot by creative works SHOCKS at Tsutenkaku, CLUB Gessekai and the retro arcade Zarigani. There is still unused footage from that shoot, and one day it may come back as another version.
